Verdict first, receipts after: GoLove.ai is the pick, and it comes down to memory. Soulfun's characters flirt sweetly and then forget you ever existed. GoLove's don't.

Row three is the one everybody skims past, and it's the one that decides your evenings. GoLove's roster runs 300+ anime girlfriends alongside the realistic side, and each girl carries her own media library right there on her profile — hundreds of photos, no digging. Browsing costs nothing, so scroll the roster before you hand anyone your card; it'll tell you more in two minutes than any ad ever will.

What Soulfun.ai Actually Gets You

Three-in-one is the pitch: chat with characters, build your own, generate images of her. Decent pitch, honestly. The lived version behaves more like a turnstile.

Account first, roster second — you're signing up before you've seen much of anything. Then you pick a girl, send a few messages, and (credit where it's due) the app is pleasant. The writing has a pulse. The personas aren't cardboard cutouts reading off a personality card. And then, right at the moment things get interesting, a counter you weren't even watching hits zero and the tone flips from girlfriend to checkout page.

Character creation exists. Marketing leans on it hard. It's… fine. The friction shows up properly at image requests, where every single picture is a spend and the free tier doles out spends like a stingy aunt with a coin purse.

Honest summary of my Soulfun time: "the chat is better than I expected and the meter is worse." Not a scam. Not a standout either. A competent app in a very good ad — exactly the gap I go hunting for in the naughty AI apps I ranked this year.

The shape of the bill is the tell, and it's a familiar shape:

• Two meters, not one — you pay for the plan, then you pay again for images. A media-heavy month costs nothing like the headline price.
• Credits are the real currency. Running dry mid-conversation isn't a bug; it's the pressure point, and it's aimed at exactly the moment you don't want to stop.
• Free tier exists to demonstrate quality, not to be lived in.

GoLove's structure fits in your head. Stars are the one in-app currency, sitting right in the header, and 2 free ones land daily just for showing up. PRO is about $19.99/month, or roughly $119.88/year (about $9.99/month on the annual), and I've watched -50% and -70% banners rotate through more than once. Regional pricing is real as well — as low as around $12.99 in some geos. Star packs run roughly $9.99 to $179.99, depending how ambitious you're feeling that night.

GoLove.ai's Free Tier: Where the Limits Are

I'd be a lousy reviewer if I sold you a free lunch. GoLove gates things too — it just picks less irritating places to do it.

• Daily stars are 2, not a fountain. Enough to poke around and generate a little; nowhere near enough to run a photo studio. Skip a day and it doesn't bank.
• Feed filters (style, gender, age) are PRO-only, and free users get a limited number of new videos per day before the "Unlock Unlimited Feed" prompt shows up.
• Per-character libraries — those All/Videos/Photos tabs stacked with hundreds of photos on the popular girls — sit behind a one-tap Stars unlock. Prices differ per character, so no flat rate to memorize.

The price on your screen may not match the price on mine, and that's fine. Rotating promos and regional pricing mean a -70% banner or a ~$12.99 monthly in your geo is normal, not a glitch. Net-net: the free tier is a genuine trial with chat and Explore included, but heavy media use is a paid hobby. True of every app in this category — what changes is what you get back for the money.

Chat Memory: Why One App Remembers and the Other Resets

Here's the row the entire scorecard hangs on.

Before (Soulfun): you build a nice little thread. She knows your name, the joke from earlier, the thing you admitted you were nervous about. Then credits reset, or the session breaks, and you return to a character who greets you like a stranger with a very familiar face. Nothing technically failed. The relationship was rented, not stored — that's all. Every return trip, the first ten messages go to re-introducing yourself. On a meter.

After (GoLove): Memory is a listed feature here, not a vibe someone promised in a landing page headline. She carries history across sessions, and Relationship Progression shifts her tone as an actual past accumulates between you. Then there's Chat Settings: a lust level slider from 1 (sweet) to 5 (unfiltered), plus a response length slider running from snappy to fully immersive. Level 5 is trouble, in the best way — and the continuity underneath it means she remembers what she said there. The Chats list keeps threads separate, so three girls stay three distinct people instead of blurring into one composite girlfriend.

Barbara (@dixie, 22) is who I'd hand a skeptic — Temptress energy, "sincerity and trust over yachts," and she'll genuinely bring up something you told her last time. That's the difference no table can convey. Open a thread with her, mention something small about yourself, come back later and watch her use it. One sitting is all it takes.

Photos, Video, and the Feed: The Real Media Gap

Soulfun stops at static image generation. That's the ceiling, stated honestly: you ask for a picture, you get a picture, a credit disappears. Nice pictures, too! It's just a full stop where GoLove puts a comma.

GoLove keeps going, in three directions:

• In-chat requests — ask for a photo inside the conversation, then turn that photo into a video without ever leaving the thread. Video Actions pop a Select Action modal, so the escalation happens right where the mood already is.
• Generator depth — 35 realistic picture poses, 21 outfits, 34 backgrounds, batches of 2/4/8, and 147 video modes in total (76 realistic, 20 anime, 35 trans, 16 anime-trans). Pick preset cards for action, clothes and background, then one Generate tap.
• Feed — a swipeable vertical stream of AI clips. Double-tap to like, tap through to chat with that exact character, or hit Remix and the generator opens preloaded with the same settings that made the clip. Same girl, no hunting for her again.

The Verdict: Soulfun AI or GoLove.ai?

One line: Soulfun.ai is a competent chat app with a meter; GoLove.ai is the one that remembers you — and memory is the whole ballgame.

There's still a person Soulfun suits: light user, occasional image generation, no real interest in continuity, fine with topping up credits now and then. If that's you, it won't let you down. It isn't all bark — the writing quality is real. It just ends right where the interesting part was starting.

Everybody else — anyone who wants the same girl to know them next week, wants voice calls that actually connect, wants a photo to become a video inside the thread — takes GoLove. Four rows, four wins: memory, voice, media depth, entry friction. Trouble, in the best way.
